This is a shot of Lake Pleasant from sometime in 1999. The view is from about 3000 AGL, on the northeast side of the lake, looking southwest out of the driver's side of a Cessna 172.
Another shot of the Lake Pleasant area, looking to the south. The lake
is on the right edge of the picture.
With neighbors like this, going to the hangar is like going to an airshow
every time.
Here is a shot of Goodyear airport.
This is a picture of a landmark called the "Twin Lakes". It is actually the Estrella Mountain Community.
Here are a few shots of Phoenix Regional Airport from the south. Strange goings on. Originally intent on becoming an airpark, it appears no development has taken place in years. The EAA Copperstate Fly-In was moved away from here for 2005 to Casa Grande airport, just a bit farther south.
While flying around my test box, I took a few pictures of a small hill almost 1/2 way between Phoenix and Tuscon known as Picacho Peak.
A shot of the instrument cluster while in low cruise at 7,500 ft.
Here is another local airport near Tuscon. Pinal airport has a bunch of big airplanes on it.
And finally, here is another unusual landmark - an open air mine.
